NITA LOWEY FOR CONGRESS

The American Clean Energy and Security Act, which passed the House of Representatives, would help break our dependence on foreign oil by spurring investment in clean energy technology and achieving a broad-based shift to sustainable energy use.  Green jobs will bolster our economy for decades, and energy independence will give families relief from high energy costs.

Increased fuel efficiency standards require common-sense and achievable design in new cars to reduce gas consumption and boost the competitiveness of American industry.
